Background

From humble beginnings in 1994, supplying number plates to the local motor trade, AMD has grown rapidly into a major supplier of automotive and industrial paints, body panels and body refinishing materials and equipment throughout the Wirral and Chester areas.

It was recognised at a very early time that AMD's success in this industry would depend not only on competitive pricing but also on providing a superior and personal service to its customers. And so it has proven to be, because attention to the customers needs, whether it be accuracy in paint formulation, or matching paint colours to samples, or technical assistance, or just "going the extra mile" in whatever is requested, has paid off in a big way with an ever growing customer base.

Present Situation

Growth has not diminished AMD's ability to focus on providing the personal attention that its clients both need and deserve. Conscious of the danger of a reduction in the level of service that so often accompanies expansion, management has purposely maintained "hands on" participation in all levels of the operation. In addition, staff are carefully selected for their multi-task capabilities and trained in all key elements of the business to provide complete flexibility of movement of personnel within the organisation. A comprehensive "twice-a-day" delivery service to all parts of the territory provides customers with prompt receipt of their orders.

Having consolidated the distribution of automotive refinishing products, AMD is now concentrating on its industrial coatings business. In this, AMD has the benefit of being a distributor for Lechler who have an exceptionally comprehensive range of coatings for industrial uses and an excellent technical support service for special needs. In addition, AMD is a stockist for Dacrylate Paints, one of the most successful independent paint companies in the UK. This association allows us to offer a varied range of established industrial, protective and decorative coatings of high quality, alongside more dedicated specialised materials produced to the customer's own requirements.

Company Location

AMD's operation is centred at the Canal Bridge Enterprise Centre in Meadow Lane, Ellesmere Port. Being adjacent to junction 9 of the M53 Mid-Wirral Motorway, it is ideally located for access by both customers and suppliers, and for rapid deliveries to clients in all parts of the Wirral and Chester areas.
