AMD carries a comprehensive and competitively priced range of materials for the auto refinishing trade. It is a major distributor and stockist for a number of companies that are household names in the industry. Included on this website are some the products that are available either over-the-counter or within (normally) 24 hours of order.
Paints
The mainstay of AMD's paint business is Lechler Coatings. Lechler have been in the coatings business for over 100 years, first in Germany, then in Italy, which is now their main centre of operations, with satellite companies established in most European countries. Lechler is highly respected in the trade as a manufacturer of competitively priced automotive paints of superior quality. Their UK base, conveniently located about an hour away in Middlewich, is fully equipped with a technical support division, research laboratory and full training facilities; to which AMD has direct access.
AMD have recently become a distributor for the American company Sherwin Williams, again a long established company who are one of the largest paint manufacturers in the world. The considerable resources and product portfolio they provide enables us to continue to meet the needs of our customers.
AMD carries the full range of tinters from both of these suppliers and can therefore mix paint to match any published vehicle paint code in either cellulose, or two-pack, or base coat. In addition, AMD specialises in matching colours and finishes to suit individual customer requirements. Paints are supplied in quantities to suit customer needs, starting at 1/3 litre, and in aerosols and touch-up pots. All ancillary products such as thinners, lacquer, primer and so on are available off the shelf.
AMD also carry a range of paint products from other manufacturers to enable us to meet the needs of both professionals and the inexperienced DIY customer.

Industrial Coatings
Lechsys
In addition to their automotive paints, Lechler’s industrial coatings provide a wide range of "paints" primarily intended for the protection of plant, equipment and metal components in the manufacturing and agricultural sectors. They are marketed under the collective brand name of "Lechsys" and, to meet the needs of a vast range of very specific service conditions, they are formulated from various binders. These include polyurethane, alkyd, acrylic, epoxy, and so on, and most are available as either air-drying or with a hardener as a two-pack system. As with the auto paints, a vast range of colours can be mixed to suit the customer’s needs. Also a range of special surface finishes/textures can be provided such as non-slip paints for walkways.

AMD are distributors for ABAC air compressors.
ABAC are a major international company with over 600 employees, at 7 factories and with 12 internationally based operating companies. As such we feel they are able to meet the needs of AMD and you as our customers.
